This is about the best custom ROMs for xperia arc..

I have personally tested many of them and I recommend you the best of them..

Based on Gingerbread:

1. GB 2.3.7 X-GAMER 

About X-Gamer Very stable, max lite and fastest rom Best for Game's, even 280MB Free Ram on custom kernel's Installation [BL Lock] 1.Download the rom and place it in SD card 2. Install stock rom .42 by flashtool 3. Install root and clockworkmod{x-parts} 4. Make Full Wipe (Data/Cache/Dalvik) 5. Install Rom and Patch 6. How to install ROM:

• For Unlocked Bootloaders: Flash any Kernel for stock ICS.
• For Locked Bootloaders: Root your phone using this tutorial, than install CWM usingthis app
• Place ROM on SD-Card
• Back up user apps and data. (Various apps available, search Google Play. This is a popular one)
• Power off phone.
• Boot to CWM (Keep pressing the Volume Down key after the Sony logo appears)
• Wipe Data/Factory Reset
• Mounts and Storage --> Format /System
• Advanced > Wipe Battery Stats
• Install zip from SD card > Choose Xperia Ultimate HD
• Follow on screen instructions on AROMA.
• After Complete Installation untick "reboot" and select reboot in CWM

2. Flash latest stock ROM using Flashtool (first time flashing only)
3. Go to CWM (if you don't have it, use X-Parts or flash custom kernel)
4. Clean cache.
5. Fix permissions.
6. Start ROM zip with AROMA
7. Choose "wipe data and cache"
8. When the installation ends don't reboot
9. Clean cache
10. Fix permissions
11. Reboot

2. Flash Fusion 4.5 kernel using fastboot [ link in downloads ]
3. boot into cwm
4. wipe factory reset
5. wipe cache
6. go advanced - wipe dalvik cache
7. go mounts and storage
8. format /system
9. flash slim bean 4.0 and gapps 
10. flash root fix from downloads
11. reboot
